Mark Birthday Tubing
Today we went tubing for Mark's birthday.
We decided to go some places new this year with just flour family. Normally we go to Soldiers Hallow up near Park City, but we wanted to check this place out.
It was a pretty cool place called WasatchParc, and is at Nordic Valley ski resort. The runs are a lot shorter, but this is the only Utah tubing with banked turns.
We really loved their tune "lift" system, you get to sit in your tube and the machine pulls you up on a conveyor. This was a huge improvement from the standing belt at most resorts. It gives you a chance to sit down for a while.
Nordic Valley itself kind of sucks. We went to go to the bathrooms, but they were mostly broken and none of them flushed. Also one of the lifts broke down while we were there.
The tubing runs were a blast. Warren got stuck on his first run, but someone was right there to get him going again. It felt like the kids had a great speed for them, and I was much faster which was good for me.
It was pretty crowded at first, there was a busy of teenagers that had come in. But they left an hour or so in, and then it was no lines for anything. The sun had gone down over the hill so it had gotten really cold though.
Mark really loved it, and so did Warren. They didn't even take a break during the time.
My last run was super nice and I slide up the embankment pretty high the caught air coming down, which was fun.
