New Thermostat

Our Ecobee thermostat seems to be having trouble. It's shutting down and erroring out more and more. I ordered a new one the other day and today I got around to changing it out.

It wasn't too hard to do.... once I followed the instructions. I tried placing all the wires on the new unit, just like the old ones. The colors all lighted up and it seemed easy to do. When I turned it on nothing happened. I checked each wire connection and plugged back in the old one to check, and everything came up on that. After an hour of messing around with it, I finally just RTFMed and the wires on the back of the unit needed to be connected differently. It worked once I did that.
