This year I have three New Year's Resolutions. Blog Every Day: Wether here, or on BlueSky, I want to make a post every day this year. I think it helped me a lot when I was posting every day, so I am going to try and go back to it.
Today was a busy day. Nikki and I slept in to 9 and then we got up and got everyone ready to go sailing. Mark was really helpful in getting ready and Warren got himself dressed, though he had to change both of his shirts around. We got to the
We got a good portion of the Christmas decorations done. We did the fence, but there are three areas where the lights are out that I need to repair. I think only two of them are really noticable though. It's all looking good and ready for the new additions. We
Today we started off the day by setting up Christmas lights. It went pretty smoothly. Warren was a big help setting up the lake and wrapping the trees. We got probably about half way done. Which I think was pretty good. We seemed to have lost a net light, which
Nikki substituted for two different classes today, one in the morning and one in the afternoon. She had fun, and it was a short day so fairly easy and quick. After that she came home and her parents came over to help pick up leaves. They were pretty much just
When I got home I started helping Nikki take the leaves. I got a few feet section done, but not much before the leaf blower ran out of gas. A quick trip to the end of the store and we were all set, but it was getting dark fast. We
Work went really good today, I had a minor hiccup in my release, but it was more of a procedural delay rather than a issue. That made me a minute late to my other meeting where I announced that the package I had been working on was in prod and
Nikki worked today in Salt Lake, so after work I grabbed the kids from the in-laws and brought them home. We started right away on homework, and Mark did an amazing job on his practice test. He knew the concepts really wells, and I think he will do pretty well.
Warren had his last game of Jr. Jazz tonight. We had all the grandparents there, and my little brother Joel was in from my Dad's birthday. It was a really exciting game for the last one. Warren seemed a bit frustrated at first. He missed a couple of passes, then
This weekend was my Dad's 70th Birthday party and all of my brother came into town. It was so great to see everyone, especially my brothers from out of state. It did make for an incredibly busy weekend though. On Friday we all got together at my dad's and had
Warren has been in Jr Jazz through Clearfield City. Today was his second to last game, he has come a long way and is doing really well. He has some great defense and can shut out most players his size or even a bit bigger. He really really likes playing
On Saturday we took Warren out sailing for the first time since putting the boat back in the water last month. It was not very windy at all, which was good to get him going. He had a lot of fun steering and laying up front. It was about 42
Today we had the longest sail we have ever had. We got out about 11 in the morning, the wind wasn't great. We passed a boat motoring out that even said good luck there was no wind. For the most part they were right. We spent about 45 minutes moving
I had a eye doctor appointment today. I called ahead because I think I have a mild case of pink eye. They said to just come in. They tested my eyes first, and said that I have 20/15 vision. The pink eye appears to be viral, so not much
Warren did really good at soccer this week. They played a mock game, and he was right up in there kicking the ball. It was a big difference from last year. The next day though, his eye was really red. It was clear he has pink eye. We kept him
Mark missed school Friday and was sick all weekend. Nikki got sick as well. Both of them tested positive on Sunday. Mark stayed at his Dad for the weekend and extended into Monday. I had a headache all day but am still resting negative.
