Swim Classes for Warren

I had a really productive meeting today with one of my stakeholder groups. I felt like we uncovered some things about that application and how it processes data that were really a good fit for how things should be done. We may have uncovered some unexpected bugs as well, which have been added to the backlog to look into. There are a lot of those with this application though. Most of those bugs have existed since the application was created.

I talked to my boss afterward about some things said during the meeting and how we can better direct development efforts in the future when it comes to this application. Lowering our application processes and moving them to reporting, which can better capture data the users need.

In the evening I took Warren to the pool for his first swim classes. He is actually a pretty good swimmer, but he likes learning and being in lessons. I noticed a guy in a hoodie from my work so I struck up a conversation. His name was Jeff, and he doesn't actually work there anymore. It was interesting to hear about someone's experience at the company that doesn't work in IT.
