A Old Project Revived

A few years ago I created a project that took a rotary encoder and would use a windvane to give me relative wind direction. I got it working ok, but I am going to revive the project.

I am coming up with a plan of attack and may even create a PCB to use with the project that will hold both my sensor and an Arduino that will transmit a bluetooth signal to be picked up by my phone or another device to consume the data.

I think it will work I just need to keep with it.
